Breaking News: Spotify has been approved for the iPhone and will shortly be available for download on the Apple App store.

Is this the killer app that will end the iTunes superiority over digital music? I think so, and I believe Apple probably think so too! They can’t be happy with the fact that they’ve probably been backed into a corner by the latest uproar with the FCC over the Google Voice fiasco. It’ll certainly spice things up! Record companies have recently been publicly backing the digital service of Spotify, making it sound like their love/hate relationship may soon be less happy with their fruity friend.
Apple recently responded publicly to the FCC via their website over the Google Voice problems, they’re obviously feeling a bit of heat on this. Spotify was the next one everyone was waiting to get the thrown in the trash can by Apple’s backwards approval process.
More soon.
